In a stunning move, the Washington Board of Pharmacy has ruled that pharmacists licenced in that state must fill prescriptions for patients.
Really this is a no-brainer. A pharmacist does not have the power to write prescriptions, and does not have the authority to give advice concerning medical conditions. To refuse to fill a legal prescription for any reason is doing just that; they are trying to act as if they are doctors and are interfereing with the health care of patients. If this conflicts with your morality, I suggest finding a new line of business.
